A leading company in Singapore is seeking a senior QA tester to modernize its core system. The role involves overseeing a team of testers, executing various testing methodologies, and ensuring the new system meets business requirements. Ideal candidates will have a degree in IT and extensive experience in user acceptance testing, particularly within the insurance domain.
We are seeking for a highly detail-oriented and motivated senior QA tester for core system
replacement project. This initiative will modernize the operational backbone of our
organization, impacting various business functions such as new business, underwriting, policy
servicing, claims processing, collection and billing.
As part of the team, you will lead and supervise daily activities of testers. You will test and
validate the functionality of various business processes and their integration points with the
front-end application and downstream systems. Your keen eye for detail, strong analytical
skills and understanding of testing methodologies will be crucial in identifying defects,
ensuring data integrity, and validating that the new core system meets business requirements
and delivers a high-quality user experience.
Key Responsibilities
Team Management
Supervise daily activities of QA testers ensuring task allocation and timely delivery
Work with QA Lead to coordinate test execution plans across the team, aligning with
overall test strategy.
Monitor individual workloads and reallocate resources to balance priorities.
Test Execution
Perform manual and automated testing for new system implementations, process
changes or operational initiatives.
Conduct functional, regression and user acceptance testing to ensure that system
meet business and operational excellence criteria.
Validate that solutions align with the organization's continuous improvement
strategies and contribute to operational efficiency.
Defect Tracking and Resolution
Log defects and issues discovered during testing, including clear de ion, steps to
reproduce and potential impacts on business process.
Work closely with developers, business analyst, and business stakeholders to ensure
timely defect resolution.
Re-test resolved issues to confirm alignment with business goals before final sign-off.
Ensuring risk and compliance standards are followed for every changes.
Documentation & Reporting
Produce clear and detailed test documentation, including test cases, test report,
defect logs and user acceptance test result.
Collaboration & Communication

Communicate test results and potential impacts to business analyst and business
stakeholders, ensuring that all parties are aligned on the findings and
recommendations.

Qualifications
Diploma / Degree in Information Technology or Business Information Systems.
Preferably with 5 years of working experience in business analysis and user acceptance
testing.
Experience in manage a team of testers and assign tasks
Candidates with working experience in Insurance operations and processing can be
considered.
Proactive, resourceful, innovative/creative/critical thinkers and able to engage
stakeholders from different business domains
Good analytical thinking, decision making and problem-solving skills.
Self-managing, strong analytical and attention to detail and capable of delivering a
high quality of work.
Excellent oral and written communication including listening skill and dispute
resolution skills at the assignment level. Have good Interpersonal and consultative
skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Update: Minimum 5 years work experience in BA and UAT
