Job summary

Apexharmony is seeking a Systems Engineer to maintain and secure our IT environment in Singapore. You will support end-users, manage Windows Server, VMware, and Microsoft 365, and handle storage, backups, and network devices.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of hands-on experience and a degree in IT or CS, plus a willingness to learn and grow with our healthcare-focused organisation. This role is on-site in Singapore, with opportunities to contribute to security improvements and project work.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience as a Systems Engineer.
• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Experience in healthcare or familiarity with Health Information Act (HIA) preferred.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and deliver secure, reliable technology.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 1 and Level 2 end-user support, including device and software issue resolution.
• Configure and manage Windows Server environments and Microsoft 365 services.
• Administer Active Directory, Exchange Online, and SharePoint Online.
• Manage storage, backups, and disaster recovery with NAS systems.
• Configure and maintain network devices such as firewalls and switches.
• Perform security hardening and monitor for threats using enterprise tooling.
• Document IT configurations and support IT projects and improvements.

You will be responsible for:

End-User Support

• Provide Level 1 and Level 2 end-user support, including laptop deployment, endpoint protection, BitLocker encryption, VPN configuration, and troubleshooting of hardware, software, and Microsoft 365 issues

Server & Microsoft 365 Administration

• Configure and deploy Windows Server virtual machines on VMware, Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Exchange Online, and SharePoint Online environments

Storage & Backup Management

• Manage Synology NAS, including storage, backup, disaster recovery, and data restoration

Network & Infrastructure Management

• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Sophos Firewall, VPN, UniFi wireless networks, and Aruba/HP switches
• Perform firmware, software, and security updates for servers, firewalls, switches, wireless devices, and endpoint devices

Cybersecurity & Compliance

• Generate routine cybersecurity reports, perform traffic analysis using firewall logs, network monitoring tools, and security reports to identify suspicious or abnormal activities
• Monitor infrastructure health, network performance, firewall activity, and security alerts, and investigate potential security threats
• Perform system hardening of servers, endpoints, network devices, and Microsoft 365 environments in accordance with security best practices and organisational standards
• Manage vulnerability assessments, remediate identified security risks, and implement cybersecurity best practices to strengthen the organisation's security posture
• Install, renew, and maintain SSL certificates and other security-related configurations
• Support HIA technical compliance and collaborate with vendors on infrastructure upgrades, cybersecurity initiatives, and IT project implementation

Documentation & Asset Management

• Maintain IT infrastructure documentation, system configurations, network diagrams, and IT asset inventory

Projects & Continuous Improvement

• Participate in IT projects, system enhancements, and technology initiatives, and perform other duties as assigned to support organisational needs
