Job summary

A leading IT service provider in Singapore is seeking a technical professional to manage and support networks and servers. The role involves working closely with vendors, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring the availability of services. Candidates should have a diploma or degree in Computer Science or a related field, along with at least one year of relevant experience, particularly with Windows Servers and infrastructure services. Strong multi-tasking abilities are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in supporting networks, servers, PCs, and OS.
• Knowledge of Active Directory, GPO, IIS, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, LAN, and VLAN.
• Experience with virtualization and monitoring systems.

Job description

• Liaise and work with vendors and other IT personnel for technical projects and problem resolution
• Identify and provide recommendations that can meet business requirements and objectives
• Install, configure, test and troubleshoot networks, servers and other infrastructure
• Monitor availability of services meet agreed service levels, performance indicators and periodic maintenance on IT infrastructure
• Test and implement security patches for operating systems, servers and network devices
• Ongoing assessment of new threats and improve on computing security
• Analyse and review critical logs, investigate, and troubleshoot technical issues
• Maintain security, backup and redundancy strategies
• Update technical documentation, covering infrastructure, inventory, service subscriptions and contracts
• Perform and participate in capacity and redundancy planning, and execution of disaster recovery plan and testing
• Evaluate, recommend new technologies and improve IT operations
• Attend to escalated service tickets
• Document application or system issues and resolutions for future reference

Knowledge & Skill Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Computer Science / IT related discipline with minimum 1 year of hands‑on experience in supporting networks, Servers, PCs and OS
• Experience with Windows Servers (2012, 2016)
• Knowledge of infrastructure services and functions (eg. AD, GPO, IIS, DNS, DHCP, File and Print, TCP/IP, LAN and VLAN)
• Experience with virtualization & monitoring systems (eg. VMWare, SD-WAN and Zabbix)
• Practical knowledge for Fortigate / Fortinet firewall products
• Ability to efficiently multi‑task and be self‑motivated while working with others
• Knowledge of MS AX, MS SQL, MS Excel VBA, MS Access is an added advantage
