Job summary

A leading IT support company in Singapore is looking for a Technical Support Engineer to provide technical assistance to users both on-site and remotely. The ideal candidate will have an ITE or Diploma in Information Technology along with 1–2 years of experience in a similar role. Responsibilities include troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues, as well as offering after-hours support as necessary. Strong communication skills and the ability to work under pressure are essential.

Job description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to both on-site and remote users by troubleshooting and resolving IT-related issues involving hardware, software, network connectivity, and peripheral devices on laptops and desktops.

  • Offer after-hours support as necessary to address urgent technical problems.

  • Perform additional duties and contribute to special projects as directed by the Manager or Management.

Requirements:

  • ITE or Diploma in Information Technology from a recognized institution.

  • 1–2 years of hands-on experience in a similar role such as Desktop Support Engineer, Technical Support Engineer, or equivalent.

  • Proficient in installing and troubleshooting Microsoft 365 applications.

  • Experience with financial applications such as Bloomberg, including installation and issue resolution.

  • Familiarity with phone system support, including phone resets and new device deployments.

  • Able to handle general IT support requests, such as video conferencing setup and mobile email activation.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills across various channels—face-to-face, phone, and written.

  • Demonstrated ability in practical troubleshooting and problem-solving.

  • Capable of independently planning and prioritizing tasks with minimal supervision.

  • Able to perform under pressure and meet service level agreements (SLAs).

  • Sound understanding of customer service best practices.
