Job summary

A leading company in IT security solutions seeks an IT support technician to handle fault reporting and troubleshooting for their clients. You will be responsible for providing level 1 support and managing incident reports, requiring experience with Windows and Linux systems. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with established procedures.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in IT support roles.
  • Experience with incident and problem management based on ITIL standard.
  • Basic understanding of networking and scripting for job automation.

Company’s Profile

Our client is an IT security solutions provider, established for more than 25 years with a strong reputation in the industry. They specialize in delivering comprehensive turn-key security systems, from design and integration to maintenance and support and serve clients in government, trade and commercial sectors.

Location: Tampines (Company transport from Tampines MRT provided daily)

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 6.00pm

Responsibilities:

  • Response to fault calls on 24x7 basis
  • Provide first point of contact to customer for fault reporting
  • Provide level 1 support and troubleshooting which includes diagnosis of hardware and software failures or problems
  • Keep track of outstanding issues and follow up with customers and relevant stakeholders for problem resolution
  • Service ownership for fault reporting based on ITIL standard Service
  • Management including RCA (Root Cause Analysis) and AAR (After Action Review)
  • Perform software and hardware installation, updates and bug fixes as well as configuration
  • Conduct periodic or ad-hoc checks/testing with documentation
  • Write or update technical documentation (SOW, System/network diagram, troubleshooting guide etc.) and Incident reports
  • Operate within set guidelines, policies and procedures with minimal supervision
  • Requires site travelling when necessary and assist during off-peak hours on system activities

Requirements:

  • Min. NITEC / Diploma in Information Technology or Computer Science field
  • Min. 1-2 years of experience in IT support roles
  • Experience with incident and problem management based on ITIL standard
  • Experience with Windows and Linux OS systems
  • Basic understanding in networking
  • Basic scripting skills for job automation
