We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled IT Support Engineer to provide on-site and remote support across various locations, including remote sites and airbases. This role involves managing end-user devices, IT infrastructure setup, routine maintenance, and ensuring timely issue resolution while delivering exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site support for hardware and software setup, configuration, and troubleshooting
- Set up and configure new machines, ensuring integration with existing systems
- Perform asset transfers, device conversions, and initial system setups
- Harden, patch, test, and troubleshoot standalone desktops and laptops
- Install and support printers, scanners, and peripheral devices
- Resolve general IT issues and conduct scheduled endpoint maintenance at remote sites
- Deliver Level 1 network support to minimize downtime
- Manage IT service tickets via ITSM tools, ensuring SLA compliance
- Maintain hardware and software inventory using in-house systems
- Support third-party applications such as Microsoft Office, Adobe, and Google Workspace
- Collaborate with Group IT teams (Security, Server, Network) for operational alignment
- Respond to security incidents and assist in IT infrastructure projects and deployments
Requirements:
- Proficiency in Windows OS; exposure to macOS and Linux is a plus
- Familiarity with productivity tools (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace)
- Strong knowledge of IT hardware components and troubleshooting
- Experience with Active Directory and user account administration
- Hands-on experience with deployment tools (e.g., Microsoft Autopilot, Tanium)
- Proficient with remote support tools (e.g., Bomgar) and virtual meeting platforms (Teams, Zoom, Webex)
- Working knowledge of ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools
- ITIL Foundation certification preferred
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to service excellence
