An IT service provider in Singapore is seeking an experienced IT Support Engineer. You will provide 2nd line onsite technical support to enterprise users, troubleshoot both hardware and software issues, and assist in building and deploying new desktop and laptop systems. Strong technical skills and 2-5 years of experience are essential. Fluency in English is required.

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of experience in end user support.
  • Strong technical skills in Microsoft Windows and MS-Office.
  • Experience with desktop/laptop hardware and software.

Job description

You will be working for an IT service provider operating worldwide supporting our operative team in handling our international projects.

As IT Support Engineer, you will be providing 2nd line onsite technical Support to Enterprise users of desktop/laptop/PC, assisting with building and deployment of new desktop/laptop hardware, supporting mobile devices and managing tickets using the company’s chosen IT ticketing tool. You will also coordinate and communicate with the central helpdesk team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced IT Support Engineer to take the next step in their IT career and you will:

  • Provide technical support to end users on Desktops, Laptops, Printers, Handhelds and Smartphones etc.
  • Troubleshooting hardware related issues and replace parts if needed
  • Troubleshooting software related issues and apply fix
  • Work with team members in completing job assignments
  • Follow process to attend assigned jobs and escalate issues

You already have:

  • Strong technical skills in trouble shooting issues related to Desktops, Laptops, Printers, Handhelds, Smart phones etc.
  • 2-5 years of experience with end user support.
  • Strong technical skills in Microsoft Windows operating systems and business productivity applications i.e. MS-Office
  • Collaboration experience including knowledge of remote control of PCs
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Attitude as a team player
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English
