Job summary

A leading logistics company is seeking an IT Support Technician to provide daily user support and system administration. The role involves installing software, troubleshooting IT issues, and maintaining technical documentation. Ideal candidates will have a Diploma or Degree in IT, with a proactive approach and 2-3 years of relevant experience.

Job description

Job Description:

  1. Install and configure operating systems and software on new laptops and desktop computers.
  2. Provide daily IT support to users, including troubleshooting issues related to printing, email, applications, and computer hardware.
  3. Create documentation for hardware/software installation and configuration tasks, such as setting up new computers, printers, and deploying applications.
  4. Maintain service request and trouble ticket logs for all reported user issues and support requests.
  5. Perform basic Microsoft 365 administrative tasks, including managing user and group mailboxes, blocking spam/phishing emails, mail tracing, and reviewing quarantined messages.
  6. Ensure all servers and user endpoints (desktops/laptops) are up to date with Windows updates, antivirus definitions, and security patches.
  7. Develop user guides and provide training sessions for internal users as needed.
  8. Maintain technical documentation to support ISO compliance, with minimal supervision.
  9. Create regular Windows Server backups and perform restoration when necessary.
  10. Conduct routine on-site checks of physical servers, monitor virtual machines, and manage Windows Server backups and system health.
  11. Perform first-level troubleshooting and coordinate with vendors to resolve hardware or software-related issues.
  12. Provide after-hours support on an on-call basis, including on-site assistance when required.
  13. Provide on-site support outside regular hours or on weekends during system maintenance or unexpected outages.

Job Requirements:

  1. A Diploma/Degree in IT/Computer Science.
  2. 2–3 years of hands-on experience in IT support and system administration.
  3. Experience in Windows Active Directory Setup, Networking, Veeam Backup, Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 Administration (Admin Center, Exchange, Security, Microsoft Purview) is an added advantage.
  4. Good troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  5. Ability to prioritize tasks effectively, work independently, and collaborate well within a team environment.
  6. A proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and explore new technologies/tools to improve system stability, security, and user support.
