Job description

Daiso Singapore is seeking a highly motivated Entry Level IT Support Specialist to join our team. As an IT Support Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our systems, providing on-site technical support, and maintaining the IT infrastructure across our outlets. You will be responsible for troubleshooting, system maintenance, and assisting with new system deployments.

Job Responsibilities:

  • System Maintenance & Updates: Perform routine maintenance and system updates on cashier counter systems and office systems to ensure minimal downtime and uninterrupted operations.
  • Hardware & Software Support: Provide on-site support for outlet hardware (including cashier systems, servers, and retail systems) and software issues (e.g., Microsoft Office, in-house systems).
  • Troubleshooting: Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to Cashier Counter Systems, CCTV, Networks, PC systems, Servers, and Retail Systems to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Vendor Coordination: Liaise with vendors to resolve technical issues and ensure timely resolutions for hardware and software problems.
  • IT Asset & Administrative Management: Manage IT assets, including inventory, and handle daily administrative IT tasks to maintain a smooth workflow.
  • Installation & Configuration: Install, configure, and test new systems or hardware setups for end users to ensure proper functionality and system integration.
  • Security & User Management: Ensure the security settings are maintained for all IT systems (PC, network, cashier counter systems), and manage user accounts and permissions as needed.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation for system setups, configurations, procedures, and technical issues for reference and training purposes.
  • New System Deployment: Assist the Project Leader with the deployment of new systems or updates, ensuring a smooth transition and user readiness.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Diploma or above in Electronics/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of computer hardware, software, networks, and system troubleshooting.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to independently resolve technical issues.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel to various outlets across Singapore for on-site support and maintenance.
