About the Role
We’re seeking a dynamic IT Sales Manager with a solid technical foundation to lead solution-based sales and support our participation in IT and digital transformation tenders. This is a hybrid role that blends consultative salesmanship with hands-on pre-sales engineering responsibilities — ideal for someone who is as comfortable in front of a client as they are explaining system architecture.
This position is key to helping us expand our digital business unit and deliver high-value, tech-enabled solutions across marketing, events, exhibitions, and enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end sales efforts, from lead generation to closing deals for digital and IT services.
- Participate actively in public and private RFPs, tenders, and government procurement platforms (e.g., GeBIZ).
- Develop tailored proposals, quotations, technical documentation, and pitch decks.
- Serve as the technical consultant during the sales cycle — translating client requirements into effective, scalable solutions.
- Demonstrate product capabilities through walkthroughs, prototypes, and live demos.
- Collaborate with project teams to scope solutions accurately and align expectations with deliverables.
- Maintain client satisfaction, drive upselling and renewals, and resolve escalations professionally.
- Track and manage sales pipelines, reporting on key metrics and wins.
- Build and nurture strong client relationships based on trust, clarity, and delivery confidence.
Pre-Sales & Technical Expectations
- Assess and articulate technical feasibility and architecture of proposed solutions (e.g., CMS, custom applications, experiential tech).
- Liaise between sales and development teams to ensure solutions are technically sound and realistically scoped.
- Work with vendors or internal technical teams to gather requirements, define system specifications, and ensure compatibility.
Qualifications & Skills
- Degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Digital Media, or related fields.
- Minimum 1–3 years of combined experience in IT sales and/or pre-sales/solution consulting.
- Experience in handling IT tenders and digital transformation initiatives, particularly in Singapore.
- Ability to translate technical concepts into business value for non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation and documentation.
- High attention to detail, professional demeanor, and strong ownership over client outcomes.
- Fluency in English required; Mandarin preferred to support communication with regional clients and vendors.
- Candidates with purely technical or purely sales backgrounds but a desire to grow into this hybrid role are welcome.
