Project Manager Job Description
- The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for managing the project team to meet or exceed customer contractual requirements for project delivery.
- Reporting to the Project Director, the PM will develop, update, and maintain the project plan and schedule.
- The PM will manage project scope, monitor project costs and forecasts, and develop/maintain the project quality plan.
- The PM is also responsible for developing and updating the project risk management plan, project team organization chart, and performing project communications and reporting.
- The job scope covers the entire application development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, integration, UAT, and rollout of the IT project. IT projects may also include site preparation and hardware installation and support.
Job Knowledge and Skills
- Candidates with less than 5 years of experience in Project Management may apply for the Deputy PM position.
- Knowledge and experience in the following technology areas are advantageous:
- o J2EE-based solutions and development for WebSphere/Weblogic Application Servers
- o Oracle/MSSQL Database Servers
- o .NET-based application development, including C# desktop applications
- o Domain knowledge in National ID Cards, E-Passports, Biometrics, Smart Cards, and Immigration Clearance Gates
- o Deployment and support of PC hardware and custom software across multiple sites in Singapore
- o Experience in overseeing site preparation, hardware delivery, and installation is advantageous
- Excellent interpersonal skills—ability to build good relationships with external customers, vendors, and colleagues.
- Project Management certifications such as CITPM, PMP, or Agile certifications like Certified Scrum Master are advantageous.
