About the job IT Project Manager (Banking)

• Develop and execute comprehensive project plans encompassing timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and dependencies while fostering a culture of collaboration, transparency, and accountability to ensure strong cross-functional teamwork and alignment with project objectives.
• Effectively communicate project progress, status, and key decisions to stakeholders, including senior management, while ensuring the successful, on-time, and budget-compliant delivery of projects that meet established requirements.
• Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from requirements gathering to implementation, in adherence to the Project Management Process and Methodology, while collaborating closely with the Project Lead/Owner or Sponsor to drive strategic initiatives aligned with the organizations roadmap.
• Engage in pre-project activities, including effort estimation, high-level project planning, and team organization, while managing relationships with internal departments and external partners to define requirements, align expectations, and ensure timely delivery.
• Monitor and track project execution while proactively analyzing risks and implementing mitigation strategies to ensure seamless implementation.
• Identify and address project dependencies to prevent potential issues, maintain a project issue register to track and resolve concerns, and prepare regular management reports to support informed decision-making.
• Take ownership of business and regulatory compliance risks by implementing appropriate mitigation measures while staying informed of industry trends, emerging threats, and evolving technologies to enhance risk management.
• Proactively identify and communicate potential risks while sharing best practices for risk management, ensuring project delivery aligns with agreed-upon cost, scope, schedule, and outcome baselines.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
• More than 8 years of experience in Project Management, including at least 3 years in IT Project Management within the financial industry, with experience in core banking systems.
• Demonstrated background in IT development (design, coding, testing), with experience managing the entire software development lifecycle and various development methodologies, particularly the waterfall model (Must).
• Strong delivery management experience with a proven track record of steering projects toward smooth execution and on-time delivery.
• Must have experience in IT Project Management, and PMP certification is an advantage.
