Job description

We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead application technology refresh initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in infrastructure projects and application lifecycle management, and will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery within scope, time, and budget.

Responsibilities

• Define project scope, timelines, and deliverables for tech refresh initiatives
• Manage OS, database, middleware, and application upgrade projects
• Coordinate with infrastructure, application, and security teams
• Track project milestones, risks, issues, and dependencies
• Maintain regular communication with business and IT stakeholders
• Lead cutover planning, testing, and implementation phases
• Manage project documentation and governance requirements
• Ensure compliance with security, audit, and change policies
• Control project budgets and handle change requests
• Provide project updates to senior management and steering committees

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
• 5+ years of IT project management experience
• Proven track record managing infrastructure or application refresh projects
• Familiarity with OS, middleware, and database upgrade processes
• Experience coordinating cross-functional technical teams
• Strong communication, planning, and risk management skills
• Proficiency with project tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, ServiceNow)
• PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification preferred
• Experience in public sector is a plus
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) is an advantage
