Job summary

STMicroelectronics in Singapore seeks a software professional to join the DTIT team supporting Front-End Manufacturing operations. You will work on SECS-GEM integration, C/C++-like back-end processing, and web-based applications, with Tibco or related services, to improve operation efficiency and product quality.

The role covers SDLC participation, system maintenance, and 24x7 support readiness in a dynamic wafer fabrication environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Information Technology.
• At least 2–3 years of software development experience.
• Experience in Unix, Linux and Windows environments.
• Experience in web-based applications.
• Strong in MySQL/Oracle and performance optimization.
• Proficient in PL/SQL, Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, web services, C/C++ and scripting (perl/shell or Python).
• Motivated to leverage Gen AI assistants such as ChatGPT or GitHub Copilot.
• Preferable SECS/GEM knowledge.
• Preferable wafer fab or manufacturing experience.
• Able to adapt quickly to new technology and in-house applications.

Responsibilities

• Gather user requirements and obtain sign-off on specifications.
• Participate in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Maintain current systems with new features, bug fixes, and refactoring.
• Enhance robustness and high availability of all solutions.
• Provide end-user training for features and new solutions.
• Prepare 24x7 support materials and knowledge for Level-1 support.
• Provide 24x7 Level-2 support to ensure timely issue resolution.
