A leading company in IT support is seeking individuals for desktop and hardware troubleshooting roles. Candidates must possess strong communication skills and a solid understanding of basic networking concepts. The position requires the ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks efficiently, with a focus on client satisfaction.
Installing, troubleshooting, and repairing desktops, printers, laptops, and other computer peripherals hardware problems, as well as desktop applications.
• Basic knowledge of enterprise LAN and WAN setups and concepts. Ability to perform smart hand activities under instruction-based activities at sites and from Remote Team.
• Ability to lift/move computer equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Expertise in desk-side support and PC break/fix, including basic administration of Windows OS and MAC OS.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and RDP.
• Smart hand support for peripheral and networking hardware, including, but not limited to: monitors, keyboards, mice, printers, fax machines, scanners, routers, wireless routers, switches, firewalls, racks, cabinets, multi-port data termination panels under ‘Smart Hands’ capability.
• Ability to troubleshoot system and network issues using deductive reasoning and resolve issues related to end-user network cabling.
• Advanced knowledge of computer hardware systems, chipsets, memory modules, and peripherals.
• Knowledge of popular operating systems, software applications, and remote connection systems: MS Windows, MS Office 365, Active Directory, SCCM, DHCP, VPN, and others.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with clients and management, along with good people skills.
• Ability to work under deadlines, complete tasks on time, take proactive ownership, and work with a sense of urgency.
• Bilingual in English and Local B2 language.
Items: Console cable for CISCO and Silver Peak, full internet-ready mobile, noise-cancellation headsets, TeamViewer, MS Teams, Putty, remote connection software, admin access of the laptop, RJ45 port on laptop.
Experience with ticketing tools (ServiceNow / Remedy, etc.) is an additional advantage.
Benefits: $40/hr and $300/day.
