Job description

We are hiring a Middleware Reliability Engineer to support and maintain core integration infrastructure for a global financial institution’s security operations hub in Singapore. You will play a vital role in the operation and reliability of API gateways and middleware platforms, ensuring secure, stable, and scalable system communication across global environments.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and support enterprise middleware and API gateway platforms
• Maintain and troubleshoot message flows, integration pipelines, and backend connectivity
• Manage certificate lifecycles (TLS/SSL, PKI), encryption standards, and secure inter-system communication
• Provide incident response, perform root cause analysis, and restore middleware services during outages
• Support production deployments, changes, and system cutovers in coordination with global teams
• Own documentation, SOPs, and ensure operational compliance with internal controls and SLAs
• Engage with vendors and internal stakeholders for issue resolution and platform improvements
• Participate in platform health reviews and contribute to reliability engineering initiative

Requirements:

• Experience operating middleware systems, including any of the following:

-API gateways (e.g., WSO2, MuleSoft, AWS API Gateway, Apigee, Kong)

-Enterprise Service Bus (ESB), messaging gateways, or microservices orchestration platforms

• Strong understanding of secure integration: TLS, PKI, certificate management, authentication
• Solid grounding in Linux server environments, scripting (e.g. Bash/Python), and system monitoring
• Hands-on experience with incident and change management processes
• Background in financial services, insurance, or similar regulated environments is preferred
