Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Strategy:
- Lead the IT department and define its strategic direction in alignment with the organization's goals.
- Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Evaluate and improve existing IT infrastructure and recommend new technologies or solutions to improve efficiency.
Team Management:
- Lead, manage, and develop the IT team, ensuring they have the skills, tools, and resources to meet business needs.
- Provide mentorship and coaching to IT staff to foster professional development and a collaborative work environment.
IT Infrastructure Management:
- Oversee the planning, implementation, and maintenance of IT systems (network, servers, cloud infrastructure, etc.).
- Ensure the security and reliability of IT systems by implementing and enforcing cybersecurity measures.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
Budget and Resource Management:
- Develop and manage the IT department’s budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions and maintaining fiscal discipline.
- Work with vendors and third-party service providers to negotiate contracts, manage costs, and ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
Innovation and Technology Solutions:
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and assess their potential to drive innovation or improve efficiency within the organization.
- Oversee the design and implementation of new software applications, systems, and tools to meet business needs.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure IT systems comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Lead disaster recovery planning and business continuity efforts to ensure minimal disruption in case of IT failures.
Collaboration with Other Departments:
- Work closely with other business leaders to ensure IT aligns with business needs and objectives.
- Facilitate the integration of new technology with existing systems and ensure smooth communication across teams.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Provide regular reports to executive management on IT performance, security status, and technology-related risks.
- Analyze the effectiveness of technology investments and provide insights to optimize operations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in IT management, with at least 3 years in a leadership position.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, cloud services, software development, cybersecurity, and data management.
- Experience in budgeting, vendor management, and project management.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage a diverse team and collaborate effectively across departments.
- Expertise in disaster recovery planning, IT security, and compliance regulations.
- Ability to make strategic decisions and drive innovation in technology.
Work Environment:
- This role may involve some travel or extended working hours, depending on the needs of the business.
- A mix of office-based and remote work.
