Job description

The incumbent is responsible and accountable for the smooth running of the hotel’s technological needs within the limits of requirements, specifications, costs, and timelines. He/she will supervise the implementation and maintenance of our hotel’s technology needs. The successful candidate may be appointed as the Data Protection Officer of the hotel, focusing also in implementing measures and privacy governance framework to manage data use in compliance with PDPA Singapore, and where necessary, complete and advise on privacy impact assessments, in consultation with corporate IT.

Job Description

  • Oversee and manage the upgrade and migration of network equipment (switches, routers, firewall) and PC/Servers.

  • Oversee and manage the upgrade and migration of application systems.

  • Oversee and manage the technological infrastructure (networks and computer systems) in the hotel and ensure that our systems are in compliance with the standards of our franchise agreement.

  • Review the hardware/software contracts/licensing issues including such renewals; collaborate with business partners. To troubleshoot, analyse and resolve critical technical issues as when necessary.

  • Recommend and execute new digital or technology tools/projects to improve hotel operation processes and increase productivity in consultation with corporate IT

  • Run, manage and report progress of projects independently with good quality management of time, scope and budget.

  • Provide guidance, support and manage performance of direct reporting executive(s).

  • Work with all level of staff within the group to troubleshoot and resolve IT related issues

  • Participate in company's sustainability effort for the environment and being an inclusive employer.

Job Requirement

  • Diploma or Degree in Information Technology/Computer Science

  • Hands-on experience in IT infra-structure or IT security implementation/operations, network administration preferably in the hospitality industry

  • Project management and execution skills

  • Professional certification in cyber or network security related disciplines is advantageous.

  • Proficient in network hardware, routing protocols, firewall administration, and VPN setup

  • Good communication, presentation, and written skills to effectively describe and demonstrate technical solutions to internal and external parties
