Job summary

A leading telecom company in Singapore is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee Telco/ICT projects. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of IT experience, including a strong focus on project management in the telecommunications sector. Responsibilities include managing project scope, leading teams, and maintaining customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • CAT 1 clearance required.
  • At least 10 years of IT experience in a multi-disciplinary environment.
  • At least 5 years of Project Management experience in Telco and IT infrastructure.

Job description

  • Management of assigned Telco/ICT projects and transitions complying with Project Management Methodology
  • (PMM) that covers Initiation, Define, Organise & Plan, Implement & Control and Handover & Closure.
  • Lead the project team members (matrix reporting) that are key to the successful delivery of the projects.
  • Manage change to project scope and schedule to maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Record risk and issue and timely escalation to relevant stakeholders for resolution.
  • Communication to stakeholders and project reporting.
  • Help the team members to resolve conflicts and interface problems within the project and ensure successful
  • delivery of the project.
  • Manage customer relationship during the projects through strong governance.
  • Provide pre-sales support for RFPs by preparing Gantt chart, customized response for bid questions and
  • presentation on Project Management to potential customers.
  • Provide regular updates on progress of the project to the customers.
  • Provide weekly/monthly project status reports to management.
  • Ensure that customer projects are completed with high quality and to the customer’s satisfaction.
  • Provide Project Completion Handover Documentation to customer.
  • Facilitate project handover to maintenance team.

Skills for Success

  • CAT 1 clearance required
  • Degree in Computing or Technical or Engineering domain
  • At least 10 years of IT experience in a multi-disciplinary environment (e.g. Data Centre Operations, Network, Storage, Server, Middleware, Cloud, CyberSecurity) in a customer fronting role or At least 5 years of Project Management experience in Telco and IT infrastructure environment.
  • Professional certification in Project Management, e.g. PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner or CITPM.
  • Demonstrates ability and proven track record of working with customers and 3rd party vendors at Senior & Executive Management level.
