A leading company in the technology sector is seeking a skilled IT Maintenance Technician for on-site support and equipment management. The role entails troubleshooting ICT equipment, overseeing SaaS platforms, and providing transition support for employees. Ideal candidates will have 2-5 years of relevant experience and proficiency in both English and Chinese Mandarin.
Responsibilities
On-site Hardware Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform on-site maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of various ICT equipment, including but not limited to laptops, desktops, monitors, printers, conference equipment, network switches, NAS, NVR, etc.
IT Peripherals Management: Facilitate the relocation and reconfiguration of IT peripherals within various rooms located in the same building to ensure optimal system functionality.
SaaS Management: Oversee and manage SaaS platforms including, but not limited to, Office 365, Zoom, and other cross-platform software. Monitor billing and usage, ensuring seamless operations and addressing any user concerns or issues promptly.
Support for Employee Transitions: Provide comprehensive IT support for employee onboarding and offboarding processes. Responsibilities include setting up and configuring email, VPN, printers, and Remote Desktop services to ensure smooth transitions for new and departing staff.
Vendor and Internal Liaison: Work with China HQ IT team, addressing feature requests and resolving any issues or conflicts that arise in a timely and efficient manner.
Requirements
This is a 1-year renewable contract position.
Must have:
2-5 years of related experience.
Proficient in Chinese Mandarin to liaise with Chinese-speaking associates.
Good understanding of major brands of ICT equipment, with previous on-site experience of maintaining PC, switches, servers, etc.
Good understanding of major SaaS software, basic understanding of cloud computing.
Skills to carry out IT support. Good communication skills and maintaining proper documentation.
Good to have:
Prior experience working in start-ups, or tech companies.
Experience with configuring network and Linux systems.
Basic understanding of server room, network cabling, building electrical, and other ELV systems.
IT support may include occasional evening or weekend assignments for downtime upgrade works.
