Job summary

A leading engineering company is seeking an IT Support Specialist to manage IT systems and provide day-to-day support for hardware and software issues. The successful candidate will oversee system performance, assist in digital transformation projects, and enforce cybersecurity measures. Candidates should have a Diploma or Degree in IT or related fields, with at least 2 years of relevant experience, strong problem-solving skills, and a customer-oriented mindset.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day IT support, troubleshooting and monitoring for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Administer and maintain IT systems, including email servers, cloud platforms, and security protocols.
  • Liaise with outsourced vendors and service providers for IT procurement, servicing, and project implementation.
  • Monitor server and system performance (e.g. On-Premises AD server, MS SharePoint), plan and manage backups, ensure timely updates of software and antivirus tools.
  • Maintain inventory of IT assets and ensure compliance with internal policies.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes (e.g., account setup, access rights, laptop configuration).
  • Assist in digital transformation projects, including automation, cloud migration, and process improvements.
  • Implement and enforce cybersecurity best practices in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Support the company’s Data Protection Officer (DPO) in PDPA-related matters, such as data access requests, incident reporting, and periodic audits and etc.
  • Any other ad hoc duties assigned by Superior.

Job Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fields.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in IT support or system administration.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Windows OS, Active Directory, and basic networking.
  • Familiar with cybersecurity and data protection best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-oriented mindset.
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
