osition: IT Executive

Job Summary:
The IT Executive is responsible for managing and maintaining the company's information technology systems and administrative. This role involves providing technical support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, implementing network security measures, and ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems. The IT Executive will collaborate with the IT team and other departments to maintain the updated Company data.
Responsibilities:
- Onboarding and offboarding of I.T hardware of staff.
- Provide technical support (in-person / remote via TeamViewer) to end users by troubleshooting hardware, software, and network-related issues promptly and effectively.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, servers, network devices, and software applications.
- Perform regular system maintenance tasks, including software updates, patches, and security enhancements.
- Monitor network performance, diagnose problems, and implement necessary solutions to ensure optimal network efficiency and reliability.
- Manage and maintain the company's IT infrastructure, including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, and related equipment.
- Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to ensure timely resolution of IT-related issues and effective management of IT resources.
- Assist in the planning, design, and implementation of IT projects, including system upgrades, network expansions, and software deployments.
- Conduct regular data backups and implement disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity in the event of system failures or emergencies.
- Develop and maintain documentation of IT systems, processes, and procedures for reference and training purposes.
- Stay updated with the latest technology trends, evaluate new IT products and solutions, and make recommendations for system improvements and enhancements.
- Provide training and support to users on IT-related topics, including software applications, cybersecurity best practices, and data protection policies.
Experience in below tasks would be a priority:
- Microsoft 365 and related applications
- Server Hardware Replacement and Migrations:
- Experience with cloud platform management, specifically Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Experience in planning and executing server hardware upgrades or replacements
- Ability to seamlessly migrate data, applications, and configurations from old to new servers
- Knowledge of server hardware specifications and compatibility
- Understanding of server virtualization and migration strategies
Server Provisioning and Decommissioning:
- Familiarity with provisioning new server environments, including setting up the operating system, installing necessary software, and configuring network and security settings
- Experience in decommissioning and retiring old server hardware, including securely wiping data and properly disposing of equipment
Web Server Management:
- Experience with WAMP64 (Windows, Apache, MySQL, PHP) stack or similar web server environments
- Familiarity with web server configuration, optimization, and troubleshooting
- Understanding of web application hosting and deployment
SSL/TLS Expertise:
- Knowledge of SSL/TLS protocols and their implementation
- Experience with SSL/TLS certificate management, including generation, installation, and renewal
- Understanding of SSL/TLS best practices for secure web application deployment
System Administration Skills:
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 Admin Center
- Proficiency in managing and maintaining Windows or Linux-based server environments
- Experience with system monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery strategies
- Familiarity with server performance optimization and troubleshooting
- Bonus: Experience with Synology NAS (Network Attached Storage Hardware)
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in IT support, system administration, or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, networking, and software applications.
- Familiarity with network protocols, security standards, and data backup/recovery procedures.
- Experience with server administration, virtualization technologies, and cloud computing platforms.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, best practices, and tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users effectively.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proactive mindset and willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and industry trends.
