Job description

Description

The IT Director will lead an IT team that delivers robust services to Rotary Group of Companies.

Overall responsibilities will include managing IT Infrastructure, IT audit & security requirements, reviewing/enhancing existing hardware and software/application based on changing business needs and developing business case for IT investments/projects.

You will take the lead to engage with the business stakeholders to understand the processes, gather and qualify the requirements, designing and deliver the solutions within schedule and budget. Continuously review the existing IT landscape and initiate improvement activities wherever applicable.

Developing IT policies, procedures, best practices and KPIs at a group level.

To identify future challenges in the overall IT landscape and develop effective mitigation strategies will be crucial in this role.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

General IT Management

  • Develop the organization’s IT objectives and translate it into actionable goals with alignment to company objectives & strategies

  • Manage IT infrastructure globally, including but not limited to IT Assets, Business Applications, Cloud Storage, Communications, Firewall & IT Security

  • Communicating with other executives regarding costs, value and risk-potential of new IT projects

  • Lead major IT-related project initiatives, ensuring effective collaboration with cross functional teams to deliver optimal results

  • Managing and supervising employees in the IT department

  • Develop, manage and track IT department annual budget

IT Infrastructure & Application Management

  • Ensure the smooth running of all IT infrastructure and Applications

  • Take the lead on all major incidents and problem management

  • Manage user requirements for functionality enhancements and issue resolutions

  • Partner with business stakeholders to build IT infrastructure & application investment and support budgets (including license, maintenance and related support costs)

  • Identify and plan change management activities across company IT infrastructure & application portfolio/platform

  • Work in tandem with IT team members to ensure Enterprise architecture, system integration, security, governance, DRP/BCP are coherent and cost-effective

  • Ensure all IT system/application access is monitored and regularly review against SOD policy

  • Ensure proper IT policies, standards, procedures and risk controls are in place

Delivery management

  • Work with project sponsors/stakeholders for all IT-related projects and activities

  • Project manage implementation and deployment of IT projects in accordance with corporate agreed priorities and deadlines

  • Drive good project management practices and governance within the IT and vendor teams

Outsourcing and vendor management

  • Manage all infrastructure, application and support costs in line with approved IT budget

  • Manage outsource IT vendors, conduct regular vendor assessments and performance against agreed SOW and SLA

  • Overseeing contract negotiations with IT vendors, contractors and service providers

  • Building and maintain relationships with strategic service provider/vendors

Requirements

  • Degree in IT/Computing or related field

  • At least 15 years of experience working in IT operations, supervising technology teams and overseeing large IT projects across multiple locations

  • Hands-on experience in one or more of the following domains: SAP ERP, HRIS, Microsoft Windows & Servers technologies, Microsoft Power Platform, WAN technologies (SD-WAN),

  • Sound working knowledge of IT application & cloud architectures and design methodologies across multiple platform (Private/Public/Hybrid cloud-based technologies)

  • Sound working knowledge on data management and administration

  • Have project managed at least 2 full cycles of ERP implementation with multiple entities

  • Strong knowledge of project management principles

  • Willingness to be hands-on and get actively involved in driving initiatives across teams spanning multiple time zones

  • Exposure to Construction/Engineering industry environment (preferred)
