A leading company is seeking an IT Director to enhance its IT infrastructure and security operations. The role involves managing an IT team, developing technology strategies, and ensuring effective IT solutions align with the company's goals. Ideal candidates should have extensive experience in IT management and a solid understanding of cybersecurity and IT best practices.
We are seeking an IT Director to lead the IT infrastructure and operations of the Company. The IT Director is expected to strengthen the IT infrastructure and operations of the Company and improve the security posture of the Company. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, hands-on experience in developing IT roadmaps and programs, and excellent communication skills.
Lead and manage a team of IT professionals by providing guidance and overseeing the Company’s technology operations which will include network security, infrastructure and applications development
Collaborate with management and stakeholders to shape technology application strategy and roadmap in alignment with the Company’s goals and objectives.
Proactively identify technology risks and develop mitigation strategies and undertake corrective actions to improve the security posture of the Company.
Streamline processes and implement continual improvement actions and other action plans
Attend to regulatory/audit information requests and related deliverables and attend to customers’ supervisory visits/meetings and regulatory audits.
Implement relevant security controls, processes and tools to enhance the security posture of the Company
Monitor and control IT budgets. Ensure the adoption of cost-effective solutions and efficient allocation of resources
Manage vendor relationships and negotiate for IT products and services.
Manage IT projects and monitor the performance of IT projects
Ensure the availability and reliability of all IT systems, application and services.
Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance and data security
Evaluate and recommend new technologies, software, and hardware to improve efficiency and productivity.
Stay updated with industry trends and advancements, and provide strategic recommendations for IT improvements
Requirements/Qualification
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
Degree or professional certification in Information Technology or related discipline
Minimum 10 years of experience in IT, preferably in a supervisory or managerial role
A proven track record of managing an IT team and ability to deliver successful IT outcomes
Experience in analysis, implementation and evaluation of IT systems and their specification.
Sound understanding of computer systems (hardware/software), networks, etc.
Good knowledge of cyber security and cyber security best practices
Good understanding of ABS OSPAR is an added advantage.
Adaptable, resourceful and able to thrive in complex and ambiguous environments.
Individuals with a hands-on and practical attitude will be considered favourably
Excellent relationship-building, communication and collaboration skills.
