IT /Desktop Support Engineer (ID:672425)

Job Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated IT Support Engineer / Desktop Support Engineer to provide technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, and software. The ideal candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining IT assets, and ensuring a smooth end-user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide end-user support and client device management.
2. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to client platforms (e.g., desktops, laptops, and mobile devices).
3. Respond promptly to incidents, investigate root causes, and provide appropriate temporary or permanent solutions.
4. Communicate status updates to relevant stakeholders in a timely manner.
5. Handle service requests related to client platforms.
6. Monitor service level agreements (SLAs), maintain system configurations, and generate regular reports.
7. Participate in the implementation or upgrade of client platforms.
8. Coordinate with vendors for hardware replacements and related services.
9. Maintain accurate IT asset records and perform regular asset management tasks.
10. Manage user accounts (e.g., password creation, reset, deactivation).
11. Support local server administration tasks such as software distribution and patch management.
12. Ensure that project deliverables meet agreed service levels; propose and implement corrective actions as necessary.
13. Develop and uphold facility management standards and best practices to ensure operational consistency.
14. Prepare and submit regular progress reports to management.

Requirements:

1. Minimum Higher Nitec or Diploma in Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
2. At least 1 year of relevant experience in IT support or technology administration is preferred.
3. Basic knowledge of networking is an advantage.
4. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
5. Strong technical aptitude and willingness to learn new systems and tools.
6. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Team player with a proactive and service-oriented mindset.
