Introduction

The IT Demand Manager works in IT's Enablement organization, reporting to the Director of IT Enablement. The role is responsible for driving the assessment and full disposition within IT of IDEAs submitted by GlobalFoundries's business organizations. The IT Demand Manager utilizes expertise and coordination skills to ensure that Demands are managed according to IT policy and that key performance indicators are met.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Develop growing knowledge of assigned business groups, including key stakeholders, strategies, pain points, and opportunities.
  • Review business-submitted IDEAs to validate clarity, rationale, business value, or risk of no action.
  • Manage all actions in the ServiceNow Demand record, ensuring proper progression through various stages per IT's policy.
  • Ensure IT understands the business request, using visual aids as needed.
  • Assign tasks to IT teams for assessment, including alignment to strategy, effort estimation, resource availability, and compliance considerations.
  • Review assessment summaries and responses with the business submitter, driving approval processes based on strategic importance.
  • Add Demands to IT's capacity tracker and ensure timely fulfillment, providing status updates as needed.
  • Monitor performance to KPIs and implement continuous improvement processes.

Other Responsibilities

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and maturity of Demand Management processes.
  • Develop roadmaps and tools to communicate changes in business strategy or environment.
  • Perform all activities safely, supporting Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, or similar, or at least 5 years in a comparable role.
  • Broad IT skills and experience, with the ability to align business requirements to supporting systems.
  • Experience with compliance, audit, governance, risk assessment, and communication of risks.
  • Ability to understand business needs and translate into IT requirements, adapting to changing strategies and technologies.
  • Excellent communication skills, fluency in English, and experience working with dispersed and multicultural teams.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, and future-oriented design skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Willingness to travel, possibly internationally.
  • Proficiency in Power BI, Microsoft Office Suite, and Business Analyst skills.
