A leading company seeks a proactive Command Centre Engineer for shift-based 24/7 operations. This role involves maintaining hyperconverged infrastructure, supporting OS environments, and managing incidents efficiently. Ideal candidates should possess solid IT experience and relevant certifications to handle system events and provide top-notch support.
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Command Centre Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have solid technical expertise, a strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to respond effectively to system events and incidents in a 24x7x365 operations environment.
Responsibilities:
Maintain, administer, and troubleshoot hyperconverged infrastructure, hardware, servers, systems, and appliances.
Provide operating system support for Linux/Unix and Windows Server (2012/2012R2/2016/2019 and later).
Monitor systems, applications, and network infrastructure events using enterprise monitoring tools around the clock (24x7x365).
Perform first-level support and troubleshooting for hardware/software issues and respond to user support requests.
Carry out Level 1 incident analysis based on standard operating procedures (SOPs), resolving or escalating to Level 2 support as required.
Execute daily tasks according to the documented checklist.
Monitor, track, and update change management and routine activities.
Document and communicate all outstanding tasks/activities during shift handovers.
Initiate stakeholder communications for Priority 1 (P1) incidents in accordance with SLA, including sending broadcast messages and facilitating conference bridges.
Maintain and update the event management matrix with input from various technical owners.
Classify, document, and manage event types and alerts relevant to infrastructure and services.
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of hands-on IT experience in a Microsoft Windows or Unix environment.
At least 2 years of experience in Incident Management.
ITIL V3 Foundation certification is required (ITIL v4 certification is preferred).
Relevant certifications are highly desirable, including:
Microsoft MCITP / MCSE
Nutanix Platform Professional
VMware Certified Professional
Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or equivalent
Additional Information
This is a shift-based role and may require working on weekends and public holidays on a rotational basis.
