Job description

We're seeking an experienced IT Business Analyst to join our team in Singapore. As a key player in our business solutions team, you will apply your technical expertise and business acumen to align our IT systems with business strategies, facilitating effective communication between stakeholders and ensuring seamless execution of business processes.

Your Job:

  • Collaborate with business units to align their strategies with IT capabilities, driving business outcomes through technology-enabled solutions.
  • Configure business systems to meet business and system requirements, ensuring optimal functionality and user experience.
  • Conduct impact assessments, data analysis, and data modelling to prepare business decisions and drive process improvements.
  • Develop detailed specifications for migrations, interfaces, and reports, and ensure quality assurance of IT business solutions.
  • Work closely with the test team to achieve comprehensive test coverage and provide level 3 support for complex system issues.
  • Create release notes, user guidelines, and training materials for business applications, and provide training to IT staff as part of knowledge transfer initiatives.

Your Profile:

  • Tertiary qualifications in IT, (Re-) Insurance, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in business analysis, with a focus on financial services or insurance (experience in reinsurance, actuarial, and administration projects is highly valued).
  • Experience working in or supporting Asian markets (Japan, China, Hong Kong) and proficiency in the relevant languages will be an advantage.
  • Business analyst certification (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) and familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., PMBOK, Agile, ESSUP) is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) and SQL, with the ability to quickly adapt to new systems and tools.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proactive and solution-driven approach.
  • Familiarity with global reinsurance administration systems (e.g., FS-RI, GDW), data management, life systems, and accounting systems.
  • Knowledge of IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITI)
