Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced IT Automation Platform Deputy Manager to join our team at the Singapore Tuas site. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing the IT automation platforms ensuring its efficiency, security, and reliability. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team of IT professionals. The IT Automation Platform Deputy Manager will work closely with other departments to support business operations and drive technological advancements.
Job Description and Responsibilities
• Design, implement, and manage all aspects of IT automation platforms, including servers, networks, firewalls and storage systems.
• Ensure 24/7 uptime and disaster recovery readiness for plant IT systems.
• Manage and maintain Server room operations.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
• Ensure automation platforms & applications complies with pharmaceutical industry regulations (e.g., GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, Data Integrity).
• Implement cybersecurity policies and procedures in line with company and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in audits and provide technical documentation for validation and compliance purposes.
• Manage vendors and service providers (hardware, software, managed services).
• Oversee procurement and lifecycle management of IT automation platforms assets.
• Provide support for manufacturing, lab, and business-critical systems.
• Work closely with Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to ensure uninterrupted IT operations for production and lab environments.
• Coordinate system upgrades and patch management in line with change control procedures.
• Lead automation platform projects including new deployments, upgrades, and technology transitions.
• Manage timelines, and resource allocation for automation platforms initiatives.
• Support digital transformation projects within the plant.
Candidates are expected to have the following qualifications, skills, and experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, ITIL, PMP) are a plus.
• Minimum of 7+ years of experience in IT automation platform & application management.
• Experience working in a pharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing environment is mandatory.
• Strong understanding of GxP, CSV, and data integrity requirements.
• Familiarity with MES, LIMS, QMS, and ERP systems.
• Hands-on expertise in networking (Cisco/HP/Aruba), virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), storage, and backup solutions.
