Job description

The role involves participating in audit assignments and special reviews requested by regulators, business lines, or senior management. Responsibilities include preparing assignments by acquiring detailed knowledge of the scope, technologies involved, and relevant figures. The role requires developing a thorough understanding of key IT activities, risks, governance structures and evaluating configurations and security setups.

The successful candidate will conduct comprehensive investigations using strong technical expertise in IT systems including databases, operating systems (Linux/Windows), cybersecurity, network security, virtualisation technologies, container platforms, and cloud computing. Proficiency in programming and scripting to automate investigative processes is essential. The IT Auditor must recommend actionable solutions to mitigate identified risks, formalise audit findings, and present conclusions to senior stakeholders. Reviewing the implementation of audit recommendations and performing control tests to validate remediation actions is also part of the role.

Additional duties include contributing to IT risk assessments and audit planning aligning with group-wide guidance. Keeping abreast of regulatory developments relevant to IT operations is important. The ideal candidate promotes methodological improvements and contributes to best practices within the audit function. Some travel required, generally under 30%.

Applicants should possess a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related discipline, supported by at least 10 years of experience in IT auditing, internal controls, risk or compliance functions within the financial services sector. Professional certifications such as CISA, CISSP, CISM or CCSP are advantageous.

The role demands strong technical and analytical skills, curiosity, precision, and a solution-oriented mindset. Excellent communication, presentation and writing skills in English are required. The ability to operate efficiently under pressure and within tight deadlines, while demonstrating initiative and a cooperative approach, is essential.
