Job Summary

The candidate will serve as a technical RUN expert for all Windows services at CA-CIB. Responsibilities include providing support, acting as the last escalation point for production support activities within the Windows team in Singapore. The role entails ensuring the health and stability of technical solutions, collaborating with architects, peers, and project teams on technology roadmaps and projects. The candidate will oversee technical activities, develop best practices, manage knowledge, and facilitate team training.

The Windows team handles RUN activities and projects related to infrastructure components such as Windows Server versions 2012, 2016, 2019, Failover Clusters, Hyper-V, VMware, Altiris, and HPE hardware series including DL, BL, Synergy, and Simplivity.

Job Detailed Description

Responsibilities of an Expert include:

  • Assigning technical tasks and managing delegation for technical issues.
  • Encouraging collaboration and sharing best practices within the team.
  • Supporting technical skills development and providing training as needed.
  • Supporting new technologies and leveraging them for consistent service delivery.
  • Managing service improvements for all supported Windows services.
  • Documenting, reviewing, maintaining, and sharing technical information.
  • Providing technical direction and supporting services proactively and reactively to ensure system availability and reliability according to SLA.
  • Implementing improvements based on LEAN-CA-CIB best practices.
  • Focusing on automation and optimizing team efficiency.
  • Driving root cause analysis for high severity issues.
  • Reviewing technology changes for potential risks.
  • Handling problem management and resolution.

As an experienced Windows Services professional, responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the team during diagnosis of technical issues within their expertise.
  • Understanding the global IT structure to anticipate interrelationships.
  • Engaging with peers, service managers, architects, and project teams on technology roadmaps and projects.
  • Facilitating transformation projects and proposing improvements.
  • Ensuring production readiness and licensing for new projects and solutions.
  • Being available to lead complex or high-severity incidents technically.
  • Staying informed about new technologies and trends for potential integration into operations.
  • Assisting in identifying highly skilled technical candidates.
