Job summary

SUTD in Singapore is seeking a senior IP strategist to join the Innovation & Enterprise Office (Ventures).

You will shape IP strategy, manage the IP portfolio, and lead licensing discussions with spinoffs and partners, collaborating closely with venture-building colleagues in a lean team environment. The role is contract-based and requires deep tech domain familiarity and a strong track record in tech commercialization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM.
• 15 years or more of IP management experience.
• Proven track record in licensing and enabling tech commercialization.
• Strong stakeholder management with inventors and industry partners.
• Familiarity with deep tech domains.
• Experience working in lean teams and driving changes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and align IP strategy with SUTD strategic outcomes.
• Manage the IP portfolio and monitor commercialization pipeline.
• Lead licensing discussions with spinoffs and venture partners.
• Coordinate TD submissions and assess commercial potential of inventions.
