A leading company in IoT solutions is seeking an IoT Engineer to design and implement innovative solutions that integrate seamlessly with existing systems. This role involves collaborating with teams, developing firmware, and employing cutting-edge technologies to enhance operational excellence and drive automation.
Role Overview
As an IoT Engineer, you will design, develop, and implement innovative IoT solutions that integrate seamlessly with our existing systems. This role requires a deep understanding of both hardware and software components, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and maintainable IoT applications.
Key Responsibilities
· Technical Solution Development - Analyze business logic requirements to develop technical solutions that meet customer needs.
· Product Design - Apply knowledge of software, hardware, and emerging technologies in product design.
· Technology Integration - Collaborate with technology partners to incorporate new technologies into existing systems.
· Cross-Functional Collaboration - Work with backend, frontend, and DevOps teams to design integrated solutions.
· Hardware Debugging - Participate in hardware bring-up and troubleshoot hardware/firmware-related issues.
· Microservices Development - Design and implement scalable microservices for cloud or on-premises deployment.
· Circuit Design - Create and review circuit schematics for embedded systems, ensuring alignment with firmware/middleware requirements.
· Quality Assurance - Develop and execute test plans to ensure firmware/middleware quality and robustness.
· Performance Optimization - Optimize firmware/middleware for performance and scalability in Windows/Linux environments.
· Documentation - Document and maintain system manuals and technical write-ups as part of project deliverables.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills
· Firmware Development - Experience in developing firmware/embedded systems and .NET Core services.
· Programming Languages - Proficiency in C-based programming, C#, Python, Java, or similar languages.
· Version Control - Strong understanding of Git workflows in version control and CI/CD pipelines.
· Hardware Design - Basic knowledge of hardware design and circuit principles, including common microcontroller architectures and hardware schematics.
· Communication Protocols - Familiarity with low-level drivers for peripherals (UART, I2C, SPI, GPIO) and IoT communication protocols (MQTT, Zigbee, WebSocket, Bluetooth BLE, RESTful APIs, LoRa).
· Additional Technologies - Knowledge of Node.js, TypeScript, and database management systems (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, SQLite, MongoDB) is advantageous.
· Simulation Tools - Experience with circuit design and simulation tools for pre-design validation is a plus.
· Containerization - Experience with containerization technologies like Docker is beneficial.
Soft Skills
Experience & Education
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
· Relevant experience in IoT engineering or related fields.
