Job summary

ByteDance is seeking an experienced iOS developer to join the Global Payment Web and Client team. You will build modular components and optimize performance for a heavy interaction platform, collaborating with design, PM, and engineering to deliver a top-tier user experience across iOS apps.

The role requires strong iOS expertise (Swift/Obj-C), the ability to understand large codebases, and excellent communication skills to work with cross-functional teams.

About Global Payment

The Global Payment team of ByteDance provides payment solutions - including payment acquisitions, disbursements, transaction monitoring, payment method management, foreign exchange conversion, accounting, reconciliations, and so on to ensure that our users have a smooth and secure payment experience on ByteDance platforms including TikTok.

Our Web and Client team in Global Payment is committed to building a highly integrated payment product that can be easily connected to the Web, App, cross-platform and other forms of Global Payment capabilities. In addition, we provide efficient and comprehensive services to Developers, Merchants and others through a series of platforms.

Responsibilities

• Build modular, reusable components and features;
• Focus on rendering performance in order to ensure superior experience for a heavy interaction platform;
• Continuously work to bolster mobile design and implementation processes in order to improve quality and efficiency;
• Code optimization to improve scalability, reliability, security and performance of mobile applications;
• Collaborate with product design, product management and software engineering teams to deliver best in class user experience.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification(s)

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent majors with experience in iOS development.
• Proficient in Objective-C or Swift on iOS
• Strong ability to understand and debug large and complex code bases.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualification(s)

• Minimum 5 years relevant work experience from a large-scale internet business.
• Payment knowledge is a plus but not mandatory.
