Job summary

A leading investment firm is seeking a candidate with over 20 years of experience in the asset management industry for a consultancy role. You will provide guidance on improving investment operations processes, ensuring risks are managed effectively, and leading project teams. A strong knowledge of asset classes and effective communication skills are required. Experience with Blackrock Aladdin is a plus. This position is based in Singapore.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 20 years in Asset management industry experience performing a similar role.
• Strong knowledge base spanning across asset classes particularly derivatives, fixed income equity and markets.
• Mature with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Job description

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

The individual will provide consultancy services and guidance to the Director, Investment Operations Services, focusing on strengthening the processes and controls in supporting middle office activities across Eastspring Investments Singapore.

This role has a number of key responsibilities:

• Review and refine the current scope and the role of investment operations management based on future operating model.

• Provide leadership and guidance to the Director, Investment Operations Services, in defining the controls required with the objective of strengthening the end-to-end process, including integration with third-party vendor processes.

• Work with project team to oversee the integrity and accuracy of IABOR (investment accounting book of records) to enable investment and performance reporting.

• Review and oversee the enhancement of the procedure manual of the team to ensure proper documentation to institutionalise knowledge.

• Identify key risk areas, make recommendations to mitigate identified risks and propose new controls to create a more robust end-to-end process.

EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

• Minimum of 20 years in Asset management industry experience performing a similar role

• Strong knowledge base spanning across asset classes particularly derivatives, fixed income equity and markets

• Experience with Blackrock Aladdin system an advantage
