Your role

Are you a proactive problem solver who thrives on providing superior client service? We’re looking for someone like that who can:

  1. Be a member of an investment banking team focused on providing capital advisory services to general partners investing in private equity, venture, real estate, credit, infrastructure across Asia Pacific
  2. Perform due diligence on prospective general partners, including assessment of the team and platform, investment strategy, process, and track record
  3. Contribute to the formulation and presentation of internal memos to the global committee based on the team’s due diligence and analysis
  4. Support the team by preparing private placement memorandums, developing financial models, and producing marketing presentations
  5. Help negotiate terms of engagement with prospective general partners, organize discussions, and lead new client onboarding procedures
  6. Assist with internal projects such as producing country/sector studies, business origination pipelines, and maintaining market intelligence on the private equity landscape
  7. Represent the PFG in establishing, maintaining, and leveraging relationships with general partners, limited partners, and other industry participants to assist in marketing UBS
Your team

Based in UBS Singapore, you will work within the Private Funds Group (“PFG”), an investment banking team executing a wide range of transactions for private equity investors and managers. The team has extensive experience advising on customized structures across all private asset types. PFG leverages UBS’s broader franchise to offer financing solutions, industry and corporate research, financial sponsors, family office, sovereign wealth fund coverage, and other investment banking services.

Your expertise
  • Ideally, a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in finance, economics, law, business administration, accounting, or a related field
  • Ideally, 1-2 years of relevant experience. Exposure to private equity is a plus but not required
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to produce accurate and thoughtful deliverables quickly
  • Comfortable with finance software such as Bloomberg, Capital IQ, Excel, PowerPoint, Preqin, ThomsonOne, Word
  • A resilient team player capable of working effectively with third-party stakeholders, even in challenging circumstances
  • Demonstrates UBS’s Pillars, Principles, and Behaviours; willing to travel extensively
