Job description

My client is a tier 1 global VC and as part of the excellent success of the fund, are hiring for an Associate to join the Investment team in Singapore. They invest in cutting-edge early-stage FinTech, SaaS, AI, and emerging technologies—with a phenomenal track record of backing game-changing companies.

They take an active approach with their portfolio companies and founders, and consequently are looking for someone who's empathetic about the founder journey, can build trust, and possess excellent interpersonal skills to form strong relationships.

• Seeking intellectually curious individuals - those driven to breaking down and understanding complex concepts.
• A real curiosity and passion about technology trends and how founders and teams build successful technology companies
• Have a mental model and ability to differentiate what makes good companies different from extraordinary companies.
• Prior experience at a VC, fund or investment bank is not required. Instead, success in a fast-paced, high-output environment preferred (e.g. ex-consultants, key operators in a high growth startup)
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport and strong relationships with founders. Entrepreneurial, a self-starter and takes initiative.
• Experience working in Southeast Asia preferred
• Day to day you could be researching themes, emerging trends and ideas; finding and meeting new founders; working on a project with a portfolio founder or executive to level up a function; conduct due diligence on investment opportunities; supporting portfolio companies with their most important issue.
