Structuring & Execution (S&E) is Temasek’s in-house M&A specialist team within the Investment Group. The team focuses on structuring and executing large and complex transactions across industries globally, including public & private M&A, joint ventures, spin-offs, capital raises, and restructuring (among others).
The successful candidate will be joining a lean and highly collaborative team, working closely with various teams across the Temasek ecosystem to deliver impactful outcomes.
Key Focus Areas
Deal Structuring: Develop and execute transaction structures to achieve Temasek’s investment and/or divestment objectives
Financial Analysis: Evaluate financial impact of transaction structures and assist with financial modelling, returns evaluation and due diligence
Documentation: Assist in reviewing investment term sheets and transaction documents, with a focus on commercial and financial aspects
Overall execution: Assist in managing the overall transaction processes, proactively addressing issues & risks and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to drive successful outcomes
Responsibilities
Participate in structuring and execution of complex investments and divestments
Collaborate with industry, markets and portfolio development teams, alongside legal, tax and finance teams to assess and structure deals
Assist in review transaction terms and documents
Conduct in-depth financial analysis of potential transaction structures
Prepare recommendations to deal teams and senior management
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university preferred
1-2 years relevant experience with a top-tier private equity, investment bank, corporate finance/M&A firm
Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments while managing multiple priorities
Proactive and keen solutions-oriented mindset
Advanced analytical thinking and financial modelling capabilities
Strong communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills
Proficiency with data tools such as Bloomberg, Capital IQ, and Factiva
