Kaishi is currently working with a VC to hiring a full-time Investment Analyst to join their team in Singapore. The candidate will support all stages of the venture capital life cycle – from deal sourcing to investment processes, portfolio management and internal team development. The right candidate will be a self-starter who demonstrates drive and a “can-do” attitude as well as curiosity & passion for the VC & start-up ecosystem.

Your responsibilities:

  • Conduct research and analysis to identify and evaluate investment targets, support investment thesis development, and maintain rigorous documentation of deal flow under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Support pre-term sheet and full due diligence processes by analysing company performance, financials, and market dynamics, and by contributing to investment memos and other key documents.
  • Monitor & share information on key sectors and companies as well as market and valuation intelligence.
  • Develop a data-driven approach to reviewing macro-trends.
  • Assist with portfolio company performance analysis and ad hoc strategic projects to support value creation and operational improvements across the portfolio.
  • Build and maintain a professional peer network of investors and industry contacts.
  • Studies in Quantitative or Physics or Engineering related subjects.
  • Relevant work experience/ internships in venture capital, strategy consulting, or high growth digital start-ups a plus.
  • Proficiency in analysing company financials and performing valuation analysis with excellent modelling skills and attention to detail.
  • Committed work ethic, strong desire to learn and proactive & outgoing nature.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills to communicate across diverse teams and with a variety of different stakeholders.
  • Strong and demonstrable ability to build trustful relationships with founders, other investors, and the wider start-up community.
  • Passion for venture capital and entrepreneurs, strong business building and investor mind-set.
