Investment Analyst

Reporting to the Head of Singapore Research, the successful candidate will cover the Singapore equities market across a number of industries, including, but not limited to, the telecommunications, land transport, healthcare and media industries. The candidate is expected to provide timely, rigorous fundamental equity research analysis and alpha-generating stock recommendations to internal and external clients, working closely with fellow research analysts and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Cover the Singapore equities market; provide timely, rigorous fundamental research analysis and alpha-generating stock recommendations to internal and external clients.

• Provide frequent and timely research insights to our institutional and retail, clients and follow up on their queries with high priority whenever there are new corporate, macroeconomic, geopolitical developments that impact the Singapore market and in particular their coverage universe, contributing positively to their investment recommendations.

• Write detailed research reports on stocks under coverage and maintain up-to-date financial models on their coverage universe.

• Maintain a close relationship with the companies under coverage as well as perform channel checks with private and/or non-rated companies

• Work closely with other equities research analysts based in Singapore.

• Clear presentation and active participation in Group-wide discussions via conference calls, emails, calls and chats on a daily basis are essential.

Requirements:

• Degree in Accounting or Finance; CFA qualification preferred

• At least 1 year of equity investment research

• Good analytical and communication skills

• Drive, tenacity and ability to work independently, even under pressure

• All-round knowledge of different industries will be advantageous the candidate may have to cover diverse industries

• Good command of written and spoken English and Mandarin (essential for liaising with Mandarin speaking clients)
