Job summary

CAREER TREND PTE. LTD. is seeking a regional Legal & Compliance professional to support the SVP Legal & Compliance in Asia, including Singapore.

You will work with compliance officers, legal members, internal auditors, and finance teams to strengthen legal, compliance, and internal control functions across the region. The role covers internal control testing, policy adherence monitoring, contract review, and assisting in regulatory change management and risk assessment.

Responsibilities

• Perform periodic control testing and process reviews to identify control weaknesses and improvement opportunities.
• Monitor adherence to internal policies, delegated authority limits, and operating procedures.
• Track and follow up on corrective actions arising from audits, reviews, and risk assessments.
• Prepare reports on control deficiencies and remediation progress.
• Work with team members to improve control deficiencies.
• Review, draft, and maintain commercial contracts, agreements, and legal documents.
• Support legal and related documentation standardisation and other improvement projects across the region.
• Develop and implement structured legal risk assessment and escalation procedures across the region
• Conduct legal research and provide preliminary legal advice on business matters.
• Assist in managing disputes, claims, and legal matters.
• Legal support, advice, guidance and training as may be required.
• Support implementation and monitoring of compliance programs, policies, and procedures.
• Monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on operations.
• Assist in ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
• Support non-compliance case reviews.
• Maintain compliance registers, records, and documentation.
• Coordinate reporting and filings where required.
• Any other tasks as may be assigned from time to time.
• Experience in internal audit or business process reviews preferred.

Roles entails:

Internal Control
