Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in Singapore is seeking a Test Solutions Engineer focused on test process development and qualification for FOAK equipment and systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's/Master’s Degree or equivalent experience in Electrical, Electronics Engineering.
  • Hands-on knowledge of backend manufacturing test handler equipment and processes.
  • Minimum 2-year experiences in backend equipment maintenance/engineering area.
  • Good understanding of equipment mechanical/electrical fundamentals and reliability.
  • Knowledge of metrics such as Utilization/OEE/MTTR/MTBF.
  • Test program language for SEC/GEMS / GPIB / IS communication protocol.
  • Excellent problem solving and decision-making ability.
  • Proficiency with data analysis tools: Decision Analysis, RA (Risk Analysis), FMEA (Failure Mode Effective Analysis) and organizational change process.

Responsibilities

  • Drive efforts between Test KEG and Sites for new technology integration and issues resolution.
  • Coordinate global continuous improvement efforts for manufacturing/equipment processes and capabilities to deliver industry outstanding methods.
  • Drive the deployment efforts to transfer BKMs and latest process technology throughout the global manufacturing network.
  • Lead global peer groups to optimize manufacturing performance and align this across the manufacturing network.
  • Work with peer groups and customers to benchmark metrics to improve performance in the network for BIC processes.
  • Analyze and solve manufacturing processes and develop systems to optimize the process to increase overall efficiency for improved yield, quality, cycle time and cost.
  • Facilitate the transfer of process BKMs and new technology among sites throughout the manufacturing network through worldwide project management.
  • Manage projects from definition through first of kind deployment into HVM (High Volume Manufacturing) production.
  • Ensure proposed solutions meet speed performance, mechanical form/fit/function, and material interface requirements.
  • Analyze cost structure of a technology and identify appropriate actions to minimize cost of operation.
  • Procure cost efficient solutions meeting mechanical, electrical, or manufacturing requirements.
  • Responsible for Process of Record (POR), Organizational Change (CM), Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA) and other key business processes for area of responsibility.
  • Establish technical expertise on process and provide technical support to internal and external customers.
  • Mentor, lead, and/or collaborate with global teams as needed.
  • Identify and settle origin of deviation, isolate cause and provide solutions with 8D, TPC, and problem solving.
  • Develop new process transfer package, procedures, training, and documentation.
  • Leverage Generative AI, AI-Assisted analytics, and Large Language Models (LLMs) to improve quality monitoring, trend analysis, knowledge management, and decision support.
  • Apply AI-Enabled and AI-Augmented solutions to automate reporting, risk assessments, and engineering workflows.
  • Drive adoption of Agentic AI, AI Assistants, and digital engineering tools to accelerate problem solving and operational efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities for Leveraging AI to improve quality robustness, yield performance, and engineering productivity.

Job Description

As a Test Solutions Engineering – Test Process Engineer (Module or Component) at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for the process development, improvement, and qualification of FOAK equipment, software or operation problems in processes and manufacturing. You will work with Manufacturing, Test Engineering, Process Engineering, QA, Suppliers, and other multi-functional central team resources to specify, develop, optimize, integrate, and qualify new and existing systems for manufacturing process. You will provide process direction and assistance in the local and internationally with the aim at enabling new technology, reducing overall cost, increase yield, reliability, safety, and optimize product manufacturing quality. Leverages AI-enabled tools, Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and AI-assisted analytics to improve decision making, process effectiveness, quality, innovation, and business outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Good understanding of equipment mechanical/electrical fundamental such as: electronics circuit, infra-structure, mechanical function and the reliability of the equipment.
  • Knowledge in any of the following equipment index: Utilization/OEE/MTTR/MTBF and good understanding on those critical metrics.
  • Test process / Test Program language for equipment SEC/GEMS / GPIB / IS (Information System) communication protocol.
  • Excellent in problem analytical and decision-making ability is required.
  • Proficiency with data analysis tools: Decision Analysis, RA (Risk Assessment), FMEA (Failure Mode Effective Analysis) and organizational change process.
