Job summary

QCP in Singapore is seeking a proactive undergraduate to join its AML Data Analytics & Regulatory Analysis team as an intern. You will analyse large datasets, support investigations, and help prepare dashboards and reports for management and regulators.

With guidance from senior staff, you will monitor MAS/FATF developments, draft internal policies, and assist in project tracking. Strong Excel and data tools experience is valued; curiosity and a drive to learn in a fast-paced fintech environment

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics, CS, IS, Math, Statistics or related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle large datasets.
  • Proficiency in Excel (PivotTables, Power Query, advanced formulas); SQL, Python, Power BI or Tableau is an advantage.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
  • Interest in AML, financial crime compliance, digital assets, or financial services.

Responsibilities

  • Analyse large datasets to support AML investigations, transaction monitoring, customer due diligence, and ongoing compliance initiatives.
  • Identify trends, anomalies, and potential risk indicators through data analysis.
  • Assist in preparing dashboards, reports, and data visualizations for management and regulatory reporting.
  • Support the automation and enhancement of AML reporting and operational processes.
  • Monitor and summarize AML/CFT regulatory developments from MAS, FATF, and other regulators.
  • Conduct research on emerging AML risks, typologies, and industry best practices.
  • Assist in assessing the business impact of new or revised regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in drafting, reviewing, and updating internal AML policies, procedures, and guidance documents.
  • Support initiatives to align internal controls and processes with applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external consultants where required.
  • Support planning, execution, and tracking of AML compliance projects.
  • Maintain project trackers, monitor progress, and follow up on deliverables.
  • Assist in preparing management reports, presentations, and project documentation

Responsibilities
AML Data Analytics
  • Analyse large datasets to support AML investigations, transaction monitoring, customer due diligence, and ongoing compliance initiatives.

Research & Regulatory Analysis
  • Monitor and summarize AML/CFT regulatory developments from MAS, FATF, and other relevant global regulators, particularly those relating to digital assets, derivatives, and financial services.
  • Conduct research on emerging AML risks, typologies, and industry best practices.
  • Assist in assessing the business impact of new or revised regulatory requirements.
Policy & Framework Development
  • Assist in drafting, reviewing, and updating internal AML policies, procedures, and guidance documents.
  • Support initiatives to align internal controls and processes with applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external consultants where required.
Project Management Support
  • Support the planning, execution, and tracking of AML compliance projects.
  • Maintain project trackers, monitor progress, and follow up on deliverables to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Assist in preparing management reports, presentations, and project documentation
Requirements
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with large datasets.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including PivotTables, Power Query, and advanced formulas); experience with SQL, Python, Power BI, or Tableau is an advantage.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
