Job summary

Hummingbird Bioscience is seeking an Intern, IT Operations to support day-to-day IT helpdesk tasks and lifecycle management of lab computers in Singapore.

You will assist with onboarding/offboarding, laptop builds, asset maintenance, and documentation, while learning from a multi-disciplinary team and gaining exposure to cutting-edge biotech IT operations.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Nitec, Higher Nitec or Diploma in Computing or related field.
• Basic knowledge of Windows OS.
• Comfortable handling computer hardware.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day IT support to users via the helpdesk system.
• Assist with onboarding and offboarding of employees.
• Assist with lifecycle management of lab computers and ensure updates, controls and protections are in place.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an Intern, IT Operations to help with the day-to-day IT support and the management of the life cycle of the laboratory computer system.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide day-to-day IT support to users by attending to IT issues and requests submitted through the IT helpdesk ticketing system
  
• Assist with the onboarding and offboarding of employees
• Assist with the lifecycle management of computers used in the laboratory, ensuring that all computers are accounted for and have the appropriate software updates, controls, and protection in place
• Build and configure laptops according to company standards
• Maintain IT assets and assist with technology refreshes and disposal
• Update documentation and procedures
• Perform any other tasks as assigned
  

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• Currently pursuing a Nitec, Higher Nitec, or Diploma in Computing or a related field
  
• Basic knowledge of the Windows operating system
• Comfortable handling computer hardware
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office applications
  

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• Good communication and interpersonal skills
  
• Independent and resourceful
