Job summary

A&O Shearman invites motivated law graduates to join a three-month international arbitration internship in our Asia office. You will work closely with partners and associates, contributing to a range of arbitration matters and client projects while developing essential research and drafting skills.

We value strong organizational and communication abilities, and candidates should be available to start immediately or on short notice. A monthly stipend will be provided to successful interns.

The internship (3 months)

The international arbitration internship offers a unique chance to delve into the dynamic world of arbitration in an office in Asia. Interns will work closely with our esteemed partners and associates, engaging in a variety of tasks and projects that serve our diverse clientele.

We are on the lookout for self-motivated individuals who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievements and ideally possess prior experience in arbitration. The ideal candidates will be team players with excellent organizational and communication skills, ready to contribute to our collaborative and high-performing work environment. A monthly stipend will be provided to those successful in securing a place.

Candidates should be available to start immediately or within a short notice period.

Eligibility and application process

To be eligible for our internship program, you must be a law graduate with an LLM degree or equivalent. Priority will be given to those with a keen interest and prior experience in arbitration.

Additionally, you should be able to live and work legally in the respective location. Foreign candidates must be eligible for a Work Holiday Pass (WHP) and satisfy all applicable WHP requirements. We will work with you to determine which office location has available vacancies, based on business needs and your right to live and work in that location.
