Job summary

ROHDE & SCHWARZ GmbH & Co. KG in Singapore is seeking an engineer to assist in developing baseband circuitry for wireless measurement products, perform pre-compliance tests, and support NPI integration.

The role includes testing, design analysis for efficiency and power, prototype assembly, automation scripts for hardware control, and delivering concise technical reports, collaborating with firmware, RF and mechanical teams.

Qualifications

• Assist engineers in Baseband circuitry development for wireless measurement products.
• Perform pre-compliance tests and verify design specs.
• Analyze circuit design for efficiency and power consumption; run simulations.
• Prototype assembly using soldering and related methods; debug issues.
• Create automated test scripts to control devices and instruments.
• Prepare clear tech reports and presentations on designs and results.
• Support NPI by identifying issues during transition to manufacturing.
• Collaborate with firmware, RF, and mechanical engineers for system integration.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers to develop Baseband circuitry of wireless measurement products and perform pre-compliances test.
• Prepare test set-up and perform verification and performance/temperature tests to ensure compliance with design specifications and robustness.
• Circuit design analysis and improvement for efficiency and power consumption, simulation, and provide detailed analysis on correlation and recommendation for modifications.
• Assemble prototype using soldering techniques and other assembly methods. Conduct functional testing, root cause debugging, resolution evaluations and performances refinements.
• Design and implement testcases for hardware functionality, performances and characterization by creating automated test scripts for device and instrument controls using programming languages to improve measurement time efficiency.
• Prepare up-to-date, accessible, clear and concise technical reports and presentations for circuitry designs, test setups and analysis results.
• Provide technical assistance to new product introduction (NPI) team to identify and resolve issues that arise during development into manufacturing.
• Collaborate, share information and address challenges effectively with firmware, RF and mechanical engineers to ensure seamless integration and optimal performances of the overall system.
