National Arts Council is seeking a Data & Research intern to contribute to live data projects and analytics across the organisation in Singapore.
You will use Excel, AWS QuickSight, SQL and Python to extract, clean, analyse and model data that informs arts policy and operations, and you’ll design dashboards to surface insights for stakeholders.
Join a team that builds a new data warehouse and visualisation platform, gaining exposure to stakeholder engagement and knowledge management.
The Data & Research (D&R) department leads Singapore's arts and culture research and data ecosystem, leveraging data analytics and robust data practices to shape national arts and culture policy and programme development. The department works closely with Government, academia, cultural institutions, and arts practitioners to strengthen research capabilities across the sector.
As a D&R intern, you will contribute to live data projects and analytics work while supporting analytics needs across the organisation — a great opportunity to apply your skills in a meaningful, real-world context.
You will work with a range of tools and programming languages — including Excel, AWS QuickSight, SQL, and Python — to extract, clean, transform, analyse, and model data that directly informs arts and culture policy, programming, and operations in Singapore. You will also get hands‑on experience designing and building dashboards and visualisations that surface meaningful insights for the organisation, alongside developing good habits around data documentation. Beyond the technical work, you will contribute to the development and rollout of a new data warehouse and visualisation platform, gaining exposure to stakeholder engagement, knowledge management, and how data solutions are adopted across an organisation.
