Job summary

MSD Malaysia is seeking an intern to assist the distribution and logistics team with data collection and analysis. You will collaborate with internal and external providers, build dashboards, and publish reports in Power BI for management review.

Responsibilities include updating master data, supporting accruals, and improving monthly forecast reporting using Python and Excel. This role offers a hybrid work arrangement and a fixed-term internship for January 2027 intake.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors or equivalent degree required.
  • Intern/Co-op position for January 2027 intake.
  • Experience with data analysis and dashboard creation is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Update material master data with shipping matrix for PP/Forecast.
  • Support month-end accruals and enhance reporting.
  • Develop Python-based monthly forecast reports and Excel dashboards.
  • Build dashboards for volume, forecast, and actual comparisons.
  • Publish reports in Power BI for management review.
  • Assist in investigations of outliers and update user guides.

Job Description

The role involves assisting the distribution and logistics team with data collection and analysis. The position requires communication within the supply chain team and coordination with both internal and external providers.

  • Update material master data with shipping matrix to facilitate PP/Forecast
  • Support month-end accruals
  • Enhance existing reports (FG: PP vs Forecast vs Actual; Bulk: PP vs Forecast; Bulk: GR vs IR) using Python scripts for monthly reporting and forecast reporting in Excel reports. This includes on-going data cleansing on Freight Spend Report maintained manually by FBA Team
  • To build dashboard for volume & budget forecast and actual comparison
  • To publish these reports in PBI for management review
  • To facilitate investigation on outliners
  • To update user guide
