Job summary

La Caisse in Singapore is offering a full-time internship within the infrastructure team. You will work alongside experienced professionals and assist in day-to-day tasks and complex financial modeling for potential investments.

The program runs from January 2027 for at least six months. Strong analytical abilities, and English fluency are required; French is a plus. Singaporean/PR preferred, but others with valid student passes to work may be considered.

Qualifications

• Experience in investment banking, project finance, private equity or consulting.
• Strong analytical abilities with good interpersonal skills.
• Numerate with proficient Microsoft Office skills and financial data tools.
• English fluency; French preferred; Mandarin/Indonesian/Japanese assets.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Singapore infrastructure team on day-to-day tasks.
• Assist in complex financial modeling and identify key issues for opportunities.
• Assess valuation of potential investments aligning with strategy using various methods.
• Draft papers and supporting documents for the investment committee.
• Coordinate due diligence workstreams and reporting.
• Prepare internal/external reports and market highlights promptly.
• Monitor news and gather information from key sources.
• Produce sector studies and assist in portfolio management.

Job Description

What You Will Do

• Work within the Singapore infrastructure team alongside experienced professionals and assist them in various day-to-day tasks
• Participate in complex financial modeling and highlight key issues for various potential investment opportunities that may be suitable for consideration by La Caisse.
• Collaborate in assessing the valuation of potential investments aligned with La Caisse’s investment strategy, using various methodologies as required (DDM, multiple, etc.)
• Participate in the drafting of papers and supporting documents that will be presented to La Caisse’s investment committee
• Participate in the coordination of due diligence workstreams
• Prepare internal and external reports (transaction tracking, market highlights, ad hoc presentations) in a timely manner
• Proactively monitor news and gather information from key sources
• Produce targeted sectoral studies (portfolio companies or potential markets)
• Assist in the management of portfolio companies

What You Bring

• Prior experience in investment banking, project finance, private equity or consulting
• Dynamic, curious, rigorous with strong analytical abilities and good interpersonal skills
• Financially numerate with good Microsoft Office skills as well as Bloomberg and Capital IQ
• Writing and verbal fluency in English and preferably French (knowledge of Mandarin, Bahasa Indonesia/ Melayu or Japanese are considered as assets)
• Although Singaporean / Permanent Resident candidates would be preferred, other applicants who already obtained a student pass with the right to work in Singapore for the duration of the internship would be considered
