As an Intermediate DevOps Engineer, you will be immersed in real-life projects, shaping the future of capital markets software. You will have the support and guidance of an identified subject matter expert and participate in various communities.
Capital Markets IT involves technology solutions and systems used in financial markets for trading, investment, and related activities. This includes electronic trading platforms, risk management systems, market risk, counterparty risk, algorithmic trading, data analytics, and regulatory measures. The use of advanced technologies like blockchain and artificial intelligence is also becoming increasingly prevalent in capital markets to enhance efficiency and decision-making processes.
The Engineer will work on the following main roles:
- Industrialization: Implement all necessary tools to manage the environments, continuous integration, continuous delivery, and process execution.
- Environments: Manage and administer environments from assembly to production, including infrastructure implementation and operational usage.
- Operations: Execute maintenance operations, delivery, and environment monitoring.
- L3 Support: Operate as L3 on non-production environments for delivery teams and on production for support teams.
Job Responsibilities:
- Participate in automating deployment solutions.
- Assist in environment preparation for testing phases.
- Develop tools to simplify daily activities within the program.
- Coordinate between program developers and infrastructure engineers.
- Design, develop, and test code using modern CI/CD pipelines.
- Implement proactive measures to improve system reliability and performance.
- Provide investigative support and share best practices with team members.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes relevant to capital markets.
- Document processes and ensure proper adherence.
- The position requires autonomy and reliability in performing duties while maintaining close communication with the project and support teams.
Job Requirements: Experience & Education:
- More than 5 years of experience in DevOps or development roles.
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Programming & Systems Analysis, or related fields.
- AWS or GCP Cloud Certification.
Technical Skills:
- Experience with DevOps methodologies and tools such as GIT, Maven/Graven/Nuget/Ansible, Jenkins/TeamCity, CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency in object-oriented languages like Java or .NET.
- Strong knowledge of UNIX platforms, relational databases, and languages such as SQL, Oracle, Sybase, or Big Data technologies.
- Scripting skills in Python, Shell, PowerShell, or SQL for automation and monitoring.
- Exposure to tools and technologies like Elastic Search, Grid computing, Grafana, Prometheus, Kibana, Control-M, Kafka, Confluence, Jira, Tableau, PowerBI, MQ Series.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Liquibase.
Functional Experience:
- Experience supporting capital market applications and trading systems, especially within Market Risk or Front Office operations, with a good understanding of financial products such as Treasury, FX, Credit, IRD, Bonds, RSF, etc.
